Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbe

image from Neil Gaiman's website

Mr. Gaiman points out an important item which people may have glossed over, what with the news that Alan Moore is severing all ties with DC, disassociating himself from the V for Vendetta film, and publishing the next LXG with Top Shelf and Knockabout.

Congratulations to Mr. Moore and Ms. Gebbe on their engagement!

Gaiman's blog entry could be read here while the full Alan Moore news item can be found here.

Watching the movie left a bad taste in my mouth. Admittedly, it's much better than Episodes I & II, but it still pales to the original trilogy. Bad acting and a plot full of holes, this whole 'prequel' thing is a disappointment. Lucas already knew it when he chose to start Star Wars with Episode IV back in '77, right?

Message Board Snafu

There is a new Psicom Message Board up, a clean reboot of the old. Please be informed that any messages and emails you may have received from someone claiming to be me since Thursday was that stupid hacker that messed up the previous board. (Therefore ignore emails that come from psicom@psicompublishing.com or support@microsoft-nokia.com; they don't exist).

And what was weird (more of pathetic) was that he tried to run the board himself, and tried to make a go of it, even going so far as to claiming to have convinced the "hacker" not to do it again.

Pretty sad, actually.

A bit of warning: don't expect 'splode or any kind of weirdness in Kiss/Met. This is basically a slice of life love story, which I hope you all stick around and enjoy.

If I Were a Literature Classic...

Lord of the rings
J.R.R. Tolkien: Lord of the Rings. You are entertaining and imaginative, creating whole new worlds around yourself. Well loved, you have a whole league of imitators, none of which is quite as profound as you are. Stories and songs give a spark of joy in the middle of your eternal battle with the forces of evil.

The Monday Web Ring

From Jonas Diego:

The MONDAY WEB RING

Starting this Monday, and every Monday after that, each GRAPHIC DETAIL strip will be followed by this graphic link.

When you click on this link you will be brought into another web comic strip that is also followed by the same graphic link. When you click on that…well, you know how it goes.

The cycle continues until you are brought back to where you originally started.

I have dubbed this Monday comic experience the MONDAY WEB RING, brought to you by some of the best web strippers around (that didn’t sound right…).

Jonas Diego’s GRAPHIC DETAIL

The comic strip that takes potshots at comics, comic book creators, and geekdom in general.

Gilbert Monsanto’s DIGMAAN

Featuring the Philippines mightiest heroes and vilest villains in one final confrontation with the world’s future in the balance.

Elbert Or’s CAMY AND ME

Comedy, romance, and definitely a whole lot of cuteness from the master of cute, Elbert Or.

Shelly Soneja’s THE MISEDUCATION OF SHELLY SONEJA

Shelly’s comic strips chronicle her high school hi-jinks and the various mishaps she got into.

Reginald Ting’s JUPITER RISING STUDIOS

One thing’s for sure…this is not your daddy’s comic books! Delivered by Reg Ting and his team of talented creators.

From raunch to action and adventure the MONDAY WEB RING has got it. So, make sure to tune in every MONDAY to catch your regular dose of that comic book goodness.

How will that affect the updates here? Not much, just an extra day of comics! So Starting May 9, updates here will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (moved from Saturday).
