Jon Stewart at the Emmys
I don't usually watch the Emmys (and this year was no exception), but I found a clip of Jon Stewart's presentation here. Jon Stewart is such a funny guy, and his Daily Show always makes me laugh. And not to disappoint, his clip at the Emmys was hilarious!

Directed by Roger Corman
Roger Corman Your film will be 45% romantic, 31% comedy, 40% complex plot, and a $ 38 million budget. |
An action-complex tale about a complex character that is you. Corman was responsible for Jack Nicholson's film debut in 1963's The Terror. The actor who plays you will emote complexity like Jack ... maybe Christian Slater or Gwyneth Paltrow. Also, Roger filmed the original Little Shop of Horrors film -- which in the 1980s was the basis for a hit Broadway musical and another film. All his films were shot for mere thousands of dollars. Roger knows talent, and knows how to keep costs down with complex stories such as your life story. His versions of Edgar Allen Poe stories are considered classics (The Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum), and also directed Deathsport and Bloody Mama in the 1970s. Oh, yeah, man, this guy will make your film a cult classic! |

Colored Spidey
Remember this Spider-Man sketch by Jim Lee? My good friend Gilbert Monsanto, being a big Spidey fan and Jim Lee fan, went out and colored it. Check out how sweet he makes it here!

Treasure!
At first, the Kruze family thought they were just toys their kids had been given.
In among the usual clutter which small boys like to brandish were a strange necklace with a dragon motif, and an enigmatic medallion.
It was only when an ancient-looking brooch appeared in the toybox mix that the Kruzes decided to do some research.
It turned out that twins Arthur and Teodor, aged five, and their cousin Jesper, also five, had not been playing with tat but with 1,200-year-old Viking treasure unearthed in the back garden.
Good advice
1) Do NOT quit the day job (no matter what the D says). If you love the work that much you'll find the spare time to build up a portfolio. The stink of desperation does not leave a good first impression so make sure you're healthy both physically and financially.
Pia Guerra (artist of Y the Last Man) offers more advice on how to break into the comic industry here.

New Hooters girl
She's always been a bit of a tease.
And despite being a septuagenarian, she's now flaunting herself in perhaps the perfect venue.
Betty Boop, the saucy cartoon character who first appeared in 1930, is now making the rounds as the latest Hooters Girl.
Miss Boop is now appearing on a series of lapel pins for the infamous wing eatery. Ten pins are available featuring the buxom and leggy Boop in the traditional Hooters tank top and orange shorts.

Cinderella down on her luck
Cinderella may have been down on her luck, but no one expected her to show up in the red light district. Least of all the descendants of Sergei Prokofiev.
They are so incensed at a Latvian production of the Russian composer's ballet that they have forced the show to close by refusing rights to use the music.
In the production the heroine is a cleaner in a bordello where the ugly sisters work as prostitutes and the evil step mother is the madam.
Prince Charming's tutor invites Cinderella to the ball and dresses her in a revealing pink dress that seduces his master. But the tutor destroys their burgeoning love affair by trying to pay Cinderella for her services.
The prince later visits the brothel to claim his love.
Blue Cheese
You are a soft, crumbly white blue-streaked cheese. You are very cool and mellow. You are very knowledgeable and wise and people come to you for advice and help.
Blue cheese is a white cheese with blue veins and a sometimes crumbly interior. This cheese usually has tangy, piquant, spicy and peppery flavor. Use in salad dressings with cream cheese for spreads. [Texture: hard, semi-soft ]
